One of our previous customers from East Dulwich in South East London got in contact with us to enquire about having some more shutters fitted to their bay window located in the living room. The window faced out onto the street and they were looking for extra privacy as well as some more of our shutters!
The client wanted shutters that would not only compliment the living room and also look great for the inside and outside of the property. The customer decided to have tier on tier shutters fitted to match the look of the existing box sash windows and also because of their flexibility. These shutters allow for the customer to easily open and adjust the top and bottom sections depending on their need for light and privacy.
The shutters were created using Cuba Range Hardwood which is an eco-friendly range, resulting in a lightweight and very rigid solution for all types of windows and openings. We used thick 89mm louvres with a silent tilt rod system for adjustment without the need of a visible rod.
We finished the shutters in a pure white paint with white hinges. This really compliments the existing window, frame and rest of the rooms styling. The shutters have really helped to improve the overall look of the window area from outside and inside the house. It also really helped with the privacy issues our customer had talked about.
